Service Campaign for KIA EV9 – Brake Issue in 2024–2025 Models

Kia EV9 recall

KIA has announced a service campaign for the latest EV9 units. The new electric KIA vehicles manufactured in 2024 and 2025 have a problem with the Remote Smart Parking Assist (RSPA) system. The functioning of this system depends on the proper operation of the brake system software. In some cases, this may cause the vehicle not to brake properly, increasing the risk of low-speed collisions.

How to return the car for service?

  • Check the VIN number on the Kia website or contact the hotline.
  • Schedule an appointment at the nearest authorized service center.
  • Bring the vehicle in and wait for the update to be performed – it usually takes a few hours.

Until your service visit, it is recommended not to use the remote parking function.
