New Fiat Grande Panda – Affordable EV with Big Potential (and a Threat)

The new affordable Fiat EV – takeaway or suitcase-ready?

A small shake-up is coming to the budget electric car market. With its Fiat Grande Panda, the Italian brand plans to make a splash. An affordable, modern electric vehicle under 100,000 PLN? Yes, please. The compact body clearly references the boxy design of the older Panda, now a rare sight on the streets.

Importantly, like all current electric vehicles, the Fiat Grande Panda will come with a keyless entry system, which improves user comfort but may also present an opportunity for thieves.

In Poland, the most common car theft method remains the so-called “relay attack” or “suitcase theft.” This method highlights how weak the keyless entry system can be in terms of theft protection. A relay attack involves capturing the key fob signal and using it to drive away with the car within seconds. The new Fiat Grande Panda will also be vulnerable if its factory security system does not protect against this type of theft.

A possible solution is to use a Keyless Protector – a small, smart device that blocks the key fob signal, and it’s available to new Grande Panda owners. It’s worth investing in a Keyless Protector before it’s too late.
